Abstract Signatures
There is a lot of beauty in signatures. My professor gave us this amazing project that enhanced them to their fullest potential. The steps to create this project was to take a really big sketchbook and cut it in thirds long ways. Then use many black and white materials to create your signature on each slip. These materials included sharpie markers in three different sizes, charcoal, Black India Ink, graphite powder, sand, white to clear glue stick, stretchy eraser, white and black acrylic paint. Stencils of my signature was to be created as well to create difference in contrast. Then take up close photos of each slip and use both printed pictures and physical slips to create an 8 x 10 abstract image. Five of them were created for this project. I found this a really fun and inspiring project.
